All Barista cups are made from sustainably sourced paper that is commercially compostable as a result of the plant based bioplastic (PLA) lining used.
PLA, also known as polylactic acid, is a bioplastic made from renewable resources such as corn starch. PLA is more sustainable than plastic derived fossil fuels due to its production from renewable raw materials and the ability of biodegradation.
Barista cup helps reduce environmental impact as biological materials generally need far smaller amounts of energy to manufacture and are equally recyclable.
Bioplactics also use fewer pollutant during the manufacturing process.
